Wisdom Wednesday

I'm a dreamer but am also a planner. If something needs to get done I'll figure out how to do it. However, I can get stuck dreaming about something that seems impossible or too overwhelming to make it come true. I just loved this quote. It's giving me the push I need right now to get some things done for my business.

We're baaaaaaaaack!

This photo pretty much sums up how much fun we had last week at the beach in California. Andrew had so much fun playing with his cousins and they all had a great time when we went to the beach. It was 75 degrees and although the water was cold (it always is) the kids played a bit in the water and took advantage of the warm weather.

I have over 2000 photos to go through. Yes you heard (read) me write. 2000!! Oh my gosh, I have my work cut out for me. While I would love to spend all my time right now editing them I have a to do list I have to get done first. However, I couldn't resist editing a few... :-)

Thank you sis for having us at your beach house. We had so much fun and it was a wonderful visit with all of the family.

Check out these two... Are they too cool or what?

I just love this photo of Kayla. I think it needs to be enlarged and a canvas wrap would be even better. She is such a pretty girl.

Alright, I'm off to do my taxes for my photography business. ugh. More beach pictures will be posted in the next week!

Make up Valentine's Day party

Andrew has been sick this week and missed school again yesterday. Unfortunately he missed the school Valentine's Day party. So we had a party at home instead! I printed off a bunch of Valentine's Day craft and activites from Family Fun. Great website by the way! I used to get their magazine and the site is even better.

We've been stuck in the house the past two days and have major cabin fever so this is just what we needed to brighten our day. See below for pics from our private party for two. :-)

Wisdom Wednesday

Another quote from one my favorite blogs Notebook Doodles. This quote is so true! I know it's a difficult one to follow 100% of the time but it's a great one to remember when you are really going through a tough situation or are really unhappy. So simple yet so true.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Biggest Loser - Week Five

Congratulations Shirley!!

Can you believe another week has already gone by? This week was a great one for many of you competitors out there. I still get excited when the numbers start coming in on Friday.

Although I am still not seeing much of anything on the scale it is very encouraging to watch everyone else lose the pounds. I'm so thankful we started this little competition because by now I would have probably given up. I've never worked out so hard and not seen the pounds melt away. However, when I really think about it I've lost 6 pounds and I can't complain about that. Would I love it to be more? Of course! Is it better than where I was? Absolutely! The reason I'm telling you this is so when you have a bad week or a bad couple of weeks remember the number you started at.

The full results are below. Enjoy your weekend and Superbowl!!

Valentine's Day Treats & Teacher Gift

I woke up super early this morning (4:30 a.m.) and started working on Valentine's Day goodies for Andrew friends at school and in playgroup. I was so excited when his Vday cards came in yesterday I had to start working on the coordinating treat bag.

Here are the two together that he will hand out to his friends.

The treat bags were very simple to make. They are small glassine bags I got from Michaels and filled them with some kisses and tootsie rolls then topped it with a blue topper made from my Spellbinder die.
I created little labels " Happy {heart} Day" that coordinated with the card I created. I printed them out and again used my Spellbinder dies to make a circle and a red scallop. Then I tied some really cute hot pink and red polka dot ribbon through the top, added a "from: andrew" tag cut yet again from my Spellbinder dies. Are you noticing a trend here?
I finished it off with a red pipe cleaner that I curled up with a pencil and a small heart button. Voila! Easy but cute Valentine's Day treats.

DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!............................................ Check out the teacher gifts I'm going to make. I wanted to post a photo of one I created but I haven't had a chance to make them yet and I wanted to give you enough time to create it yourself if you would like to.

Isn't it adorable????? It's called a cup cake take a long. It has a cake mix and sprinkles (in little tubes that is WAY cool), and frosting. Go here for all the directions, supplies and more detailed pictures.

There are so many things to be grateful for in my life. My family, friends, health, a wonderful supportive husband, my sweetie Andrew who I would be lost without, a place to call home, my photography business. I could go on and on. Take time today to stop an think about what you are grateful for. (little and big.) Oh and I found this adorable saying/image from Notebook Doodles. Love her creations!
