Our Easter Day

We had a nice Easter here with lots of sunshine that thankfully melted the little bit of snow we had on the ground.

Andrew woke up to find the Easter Bunny had left a trail of jelly beans (aka bunny poop) to his Easter basket. He said, "The Easter Bunny pooped all over my floor!" If anyone asks him if the Easter Bunny came. He says, "Yes and he pooped all over my floor!" He told the Dr. that the other day in fact.

We had friends over for lunch and an Easter Egg hunt. The kids had so much fun hunting for eggs and riding the quad, tractor and Grave Digger in the backyard. Here are some pictures from the day!

Dyeing Easter Eggs

Okay, first let me say... Yes, I forgot to buy the cups to dye the eggs in. So, we had to use big plastic cups. My bad but it still worked out! Andrew had fun watching the eggs come out different colors. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Happy Easter from Nana & Papa!

We went to the Dr. yesterday afternoon because Andrew has been coughing a lot at night and when we drove into our driveway a big white box was sitting on our doorstop. Andrew got really excited when he saw it and kept asking if he could have his surprise. :-)

Here are some pictures of him ripping into all his goodies. He was very happy to see the carrot filled with candy and he absolutely loves Pez candies (what kid doesn't?) But his absolutle favorite item in the package was definitely the MONSTER truck! He set up his signs and ramp and crash cars and just played and played with it. We even brought it to the table when he ate dinner! Thanks Nana & Papa! Oh, I had to throw in a photo of the mess those packing peanuts made - you can always count on Nana for those!

So Andrew had a great Thursday opening all his "Easter surprises" as he calls it. You'll be happy to know the first thing out of his mouth this morning was "Mommy, I wanna go downstairs and play with my tractor & monster truck!"

Happy Easter from Gaga & Papa!

We've had a package from Gaga & Papa sitting in the kitchen for a couple days. Andrew kept asking about it but I wanted to wait until we got a little closer to Easter before I let him open it. Plus, it was just never the right time because I knew once he opened it he'd want to play with his new toy for several hours.

He got a new tractor that talks to him and tells him to fill him up with gas and help tighten his tire screw and to check under the hood. It's very cute! I was right Andrew played with that tractor for hours. Even when his little friend came over he would keep the tractor by his side and carry it down to the basement and then back upstairs when they had lunch. It's a hit Gaga & Papa! THANK YOU!

PS. I'm sure we'll be water painting the Blues Clues book today :-)

"WHO" wants a treat???

Andrew had "Who -cakes" at IHOP this morning before we went to see the movie Horton Hears a Who. My friend Michelle told me about them and her kids loved it so I had to take Andrew.

When the waitress put them down on the table Andrew got very excited and started saying "OHHHHHH! OHHHHHH!" Then he looked at me and said "Mommy my eat it? My eat it in my mouf?"

I had green eggs and ham and Blake being as traditional as he is opted for something from the regular menu. :-)

The movie was really cute too and I highly recommend it! Here are some more pics of Andrew with his who cakes and my green eggs & ham.

Mmmm... CUPCAKES!!!

CHECK OUT OUR PRETTY CUPCAKES!

I promised Andrew if he took a nap today that we would bake some cupcakes. I thought a little bribery might work. I was wrong. :-) Although he didn't take a nap he did have quiet time and I just didn't have the heart to tell him he couldn't make cupcakes. He was SO excited about them. He kept saying "I want cupcakes for my mouf (mouth)" They barely had time to cool before we were icing & decorating them. Mmm.. nothing like a warm cupcake. Yes, I ate them too. UGH! You'd never know I was leaving for Hawaii in 3 weeks.

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday! Well, I'm off to run on the treadmill (not!) . I should but the sugar high is gone and now I'm just tired.

Handsome yet silly...

We had a REALLY nice day the other day and I wasn't sure how soon we'd have another day without snow in the backyard. I really wanted to get some pictures of Andrew to create an Easter card. So, here they are... Isn't he handsome?? I threw in some silly ones because he was being such a stinker about taking the pictures and overdoing a lot of his expressions because I was. I took about 200 pictures. I think maybe 3 were good.

I'm actually surprised how well he poses for me and appeases me. He is always asking me to take his picture. In fact, we were at the park the other day and a Dad was running around the playground with his camera getting photos of his kids. Andrew saw this and when the guy was standing near him he said "TAKE A PICTURE OF ME! TAKE A PICTURE OF ME!" The guy laughed and acted like he took a picture and then he said "Why can't I get my own kids to do that???"

Well, the silly handsome boy is upstairs wanting to get up for the day and yelling for me. Yes, he still sits in his bed and waits for Mommy or Daddy to get him out of bed. :-)

Our little Soccer Star

It was 70 degree's here yesterday!! It was soooooo nice and as I type I'm watching the snow fall. Gotta love the drastic weather changes here.

So, because it was so nice we were in the backyard all day. I took some pictures of Andrew & Blake playing soccer. We signed Andrew up for soccer and thought we'd get him familiar with it so he (hopefully) won't be too overwhelmed at the games/practice. I can't wait for it to start! I'm going to have the video camera rolling because it's sure to be a riot. Did I mention he is going to wear a uniform and take team pictures? I love it! My little baby is growing up... :-(
