Andrew's 4 year, 4 month photos

A few days ago, Andrew and I took off walking around the neighborhood exploring and finding some nice places to take pictures. My little model is back home. :-) I found a way to make the photos larger. I'm so excited. It adds an extra couple steps but it's worth it when you have pictures you really want to show more detail. Enjoy!

A new venture

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love photography. After having many of my friends offer to pay me to take their family pictures, I having decided to go for it. I kept saying no and kept getting more and more signs. I figured my friends and family were just being nice but then the place that I get my pictures developed at asked me for a release form from the professional photographer that took my pictures. When they found out I took them, they encouraged me to go pro. I had to think about that one for awhile. Well, after a few more months of mulling it over it finally hit me. Why not? What is the worse that can happen? Really. So, here I go. Wish me luck!

And of course I created a blog for it. http://tamiwilsonphotography.blogspot.com/

Sneak peek

I know I've been bad about posting photos but I just have not had any time. I'm so excited A
Andrew is coming home today!!!! I MISS HIM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!

Here are a couple before and after pictures of our living room. I still can't believe we finally got carpet installed. We've been talking about it since we moved in 2 1/2 years ago. I have lots of photos to post but honestly don't have the energy to put it all together. I will soon though!

No rest for the weary

We have been going non-stop in the basement since Thursday and are just wiped out. Don't get me wrong we are having a good time and we enjoy home improvement projects. We just usually have a little one around to slow us down a bit. With Andrew in CA we don't have any excuse to stop early. Come back Andrew!! LOL

Here are some pictures of the rest of the hardwood. We are all finished with the flooring!! We got all of the supplies yesterday for the trim on the beadboard and all the paint for the walls and the beadboard.

Yesterday we painted the bathroom (a rust color) and the walls in the living room area a khaki color. Today we are working on the trim on the beadboard and painting the walls in the staircase before they install the carpet tomorrow. I can't tell you how excited I am to get new carpet!

We still have lots of stuff to get done and I'm starting to wonder if we'll get it all finished before Andrew gets home.

Blake has training all day on Thursday and has to study for it on Wednesday. So ya when I say it like that there is no way we'll be done. Oh well! We've gotten pretty far that is for sure. Okay, time to go wake up my resident contractor. We have to get to work.

Blake installing the very last piece of hardwood!!! Woo-hoo!!!!
And the painting begins....

Missing the boy

Yesterday, Andrew took off for California to visit family. We already miss him a ton and the house is so empty without him. But we are getting a lot done in the basement and Andrew is having the greatest time already. I'm sure of it.
Here are some pics of what we've done in the basement.

Well, I better get my butt off the computer so I can go help Blake.

Just playing around...

with a new Lightroom preset. It's pretty dramatic but I think it might be my new favorite preset! :-)

Teacher Valentine Gift

Andrew will be giving these little Valentine treat pails to his teachers tomorrow. I got the little pails in the dollar section at Target. Then I just put the little little Hugs & Kisses jars that I showed in my previous post inside the pail. Then I decorated the pail a bit with some paper and ribbon. Super simple.

Just because...

1.) I'm obsessed with taking pictures.
2.) Andrew loves having his picture taken and asked to be my "model" again today.
3.) The more pictures I take the better I'll get.
4.) We needed an activity this afternoon.
5.) Oh and did I mention I'm obsessed with taking pictures?

Yes, I know I've done a ton of photo shoots with Andrew lately but it's just too fun to stop and he asked for it today. He calls himself a model. LOL! I was originally wanting to put him in a white shirt but can you believe we don't have one? Oh well, he likes not having a shirt on and showing off his muscles. ;-)

Little Heartbreaker

Nana & Papa sent Andrew a Heartbreaker shirt for Valentine's Day and I had to take some pictures of him in this cute little shirt. Andrew just loves the flames!

It's a miracle

My nephew Kyle was in a serious car accident yesterday. Thank God he is okay and the other two guys in the truck are okay as well. I say thank God because the firefighters said they shouldn't have survived this crash and that it was the worst pin in they've ever seen. It's an absolute miracle they are alive.

They were driving back home from a job site and it was raining really hard and the driver went slightly off the road and couldn't get back on it because of the mud. The truck went down an embankment and hit along a medal fence and then a tree. The passenger side hit the tree and the whole dashboard and front tire folded up onto the guy in the passenger seat and that folded up onto my nephew who was in the back passenger seat. They had to use the jaws of life on both of them. Kyle was stuck for over an hour. Miraculously he only has cuts, bruises and is really sore. The person on the front passenger seat broke his hip/pelvis and was transported to a bone specialist for surgery. The driver they believe broke his shoulder but it doing okay.
It really is a miracle and I am so thankful.
