Wisdom Wednesday & LOTS of photos
"Enjoy yourself. These are the good ole days your going to miss in the years ahead."
Thank you Andrew for making me stop and appreciate the little things in life. My life has become so much richer having you in it. Looking at the world through your eyes has opened up an entire new world for me and I will be forever grateful to you. Here all along I thought I was going to be the teacher in our relationship yet you have taught me more than I could have ever imagined in the past five years.
Your love of life is contagious and others are truly touched by your kind spirit and carefree living. I know you are destined to do wonderful things in this world and I'm so blessed to be able to watch your future unfold.
I love you Chew Chew!!

Tornado Season is official here.
We had a tornado warning this past Thursday. It was a dreary rainy morning but by the time I picked Andrew up from school is was gorgeous outside and we were planning to go to the park after the gym. I got to the gym and about 30 minutes later the alarms went off and they said there was a tornado warning and it wasn't going to be lifted for 45 minutes. So,I headed to the child center to check Andrew out and soon found out that wasn't going to happen . They wouldn't release the children until the warning was over. So, off to the locker room floor we sat. About 10 minutes later the child care supervisor came in and asked every to duck their heads down and cover them with their heads. WHAT????????????????????? Then she whispered to me "It's over us right now." WHAT IS OVER US?? So, I'm thinking the tornado is touching down and throwing our cars all over the place. Oh boy. Really? I thought Denver NEVER got tornado's and here we are 9 months after the big one that touched down a mile from our house.
Well we were finally released and to my surprise (thank goodness) it was just a really strong storm with lots and lots of hail.
Here are some pics I took with my iPhone. The sky was extremely dark and the hail looked like a blanket of snow.
Andrew handled himself really well. When I asked him if he was scared he shrugged his shoulders and said, "uhh... a little bit." He's such a boy.

Let's go on an adventure.
aka - Mommy wants to take some pictures. I've been itching to take some pictures right before sunset. I love the haze from the afternoon sun. We took a short hike, okay walk up to the hill by our house. Andrew wasn't in the mood and I wasn't prepared with props or silly jokes so our "adventure" was short lived.
But I did capture this... and I love it. That little face is one I adore.

Pic of the Week
I love looking at the reflection in Andrew's eyes. His eyes are so pure and bright. When I look at him I often find myself staring a bit longer at his eyes because they are just so beautiful. My brown eyed boy. :-)
This photo was part of my "I love..." series I do for my photography blog. You can view this weeks post by clicking here.

Basketball Skills
This past Thursday Andrew had his first "Basketball skills" class. He was seriously bouncing off the walls before we left for class because he was so excited. He has been so into basketball lately and when we saw this class being offered we knew it would be perfect for him.
I was a bit concerned because it's an hour long class but he did great and had so much fun. In fact he wanted to go home and play more basketball "to show Daddy how good I am at sports." Thankfully Blake was able to make it home in time for his class and got to watch him. Apparently, Andrew just wanted to continue to wow him. :-) This boy loves his Daddy so much.
Here are some pics I snapped before we headed out to basketball class.

Easter pics
Andrew and I had a very nice Easter weekend. On Saturday we dyed Easter eggs and did more Easter crafts. I somehow fought the urge to bake cupcakes. (Instead I bought the mini ones from the store to take over to our friends house on Easter.)
Andrew could hardly wait to go to bed on Saturday night. Then on Sunday he raced down the stairs and had the best look of surprise on his face when he saw his basket full of goodies. He said, "He came! And, I didn't even hear him!"
We spent the morning playing with bubbles and eating some candy. Then headed over to the Goodman's for lunch and an Easter Egg hunt. To our surprise Blake got off early from work and joined us! The kids had so much fun playing and hunting Easter eggs. It was so much fun to watch them all.
So that is our Easter in a nutshell! or is it eggshell? Ya, that was a bad one! LOL ;-)
