I thought it would be neat to choose one photo from each month of 2008 as a kind of 'Year in Review." It was really hard just choosing one photo for some months since there was such much going. Like in July when we went to California - so I just decided to choose more simple photos. So here they are...
Andrew's tractor - a Christmas gift.
Learning how to play baseball.
Easter.

Goodbye 2008.
Only one day left in 2008! Can you believe it? We are planning a HUGE party tonight. (wink wink) Andrew and I picked up some party hats and horns and we are going to be ready to celebrate with Blake gets home later this afternoon. I'm sure I'll have some pictures and video from our little party. So be sure to check back later. ;-)
So, have you thought about your New Years Resolution yet? I have a few resolutions, nothing out of the ordinary - organize, exercise, eat better, etc. However, I did come across a great idea on Ali Edward's blog and this is to choose an inspirational word for 2009. Something that inspires you to be better. My word is "Appreciate." So many things are taken for granted and I just need to stop and appreciate all the little things and big things around me. I think the Project 365 I spoke about yesterday will help in this as well. So... do you have your word???
Because I can't post without a photo. Here is one I took of Andrew yesterday - the weather was so nice in the morning. Notice - no jacket!

Everyday Moments
I just love this picture above of Andrew lifting his feet up to go faster down a slope. It's my hope this next year to capture more moments like this. The everyday moments that if you turned your head for a few seconds you would miss.
My sister and I are doing a new kind of scrapbook together. Something that is doable, doesn't require a ton of time and will leave you with a complete scrapbook of the entire year - full of everyday moments. It's called Project 365 and you can find info on it here. It doesn't go on sale until Thursday. I love scrapbooking all the holiday and celebrations but after doing the Daily December album I realized how much I've been missing in my scrapbooks - the everyday moments. The little things that can so easily be taken for granted and overlooked - these are things you will dearly miss in the future. The little things your child says that melts your heart, the drawing they made in school just for you or their favorite bedtime story. You get the point. Not to mention the fact I still haven't completed all of Andrew's 2nd or 3rd year scrapbook albums and haven't even started on his 4th year album. It's just so time consuming and with what little time I have left after being a Mommy and studying I need something easy and fast. So there you have it!
Well here are a couple more pictures of my little guy riding his new bike.

Santa was here
Andrew woke up at 6:30 a.m. on Christmas and rushed downstairs to see a brand new bike from Santa. He was so excited he just walked in circles and finally said "OHH!! I'M SO HAPPY!!" Then he ran to the front door to look out the side light and see if he could see Santa leaving our house.
Andrew made sure to check the cookie plate and Santa left him a cookie just like he was hoping he would. What a great guy Santa is, right? Andrew had a great time opening up all his presents from everyone. Every time he'd start to open a present he'd say "It's just a box... Oh, wait I think it's not just a box. It's a present!!" Without fail he said this every time! Even when other people were opening their gifts.
I can't believe it's all over. Now on to a New Year! This is going to be a good one, I just know it. But then again this year was pretty great to us. Even with all the economic issues going on we still have our family and our health and that is what is most important.
Well, without further ado, here are some Christmas pictures.
Auntie & Uncle Mike and the kids got Andrew this super FAST remote control buggy. It does wheelies and everything. (Blake had fun playing with it too) We had it in the basement and had Andrew come downstairs and drove the car over to him.
We had many lightsaber duels that day. Check out their stances!
He got a real camera from Gaga & Papa. Now he's just like Mommy! He loves taking pictures and will run up to me and say "Mommy what do you say? Oh, say cheese Mommy!"

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
It's Christmas morning!! As usual I'm up early so I thought I'd sneak in a quick post and put some pictures up from Christmas Eve. I miss all of our family in California who we couldn't be with this year. I love you all very much! XOXO
On Christmas Eve, we got together with Brad, Marybeth and the kids in the afternoon and had a really nice time. Then we headed to church and got to see a live nativity scene. It was pretty cool. I have no idea where they got those camels! Then it was back home for dinner and getting ready for Santa by setting out his cookies and leaving food on the lawn for Santa's reindeer. Here are some pictures...

Christmas lights
I love going around the neighborhood and checking out the Christmas lights. This year we found a house decorated like I've never seen one decorated before. All the lights were just thrown all over like it had been toilet papered. Funny to look at but I wouldn't be happy if they were my neighbor! ;-)
