Last game of the season

Andrew had his last soccer game of the season on Saturday. Like last season each player was awarded with a little medal. I think it's so cute that they do that. Andrew did so well during his last game. He was more aggressive with the ball this time and almost made a goal. He usually gets a bit overwhelmed with the crowd of kids trying to get the ball but he got right in the middle and took the ball a few times. Atta boy!

There is a small gulch right next to the field we play at and there were deer just hanging out during our game. Check out the last photo to see the deer. :-)

All aboard!

Today we took a little road trip up in the mountains to ride an old fashioned steam engine train. They were doing maintenance on the steam train so it ended up being a diesel but we still had a fun time. Andrew spent the first 30 minutes of the ride with his hands over his ears because of the loud train whistle but we finally got him to remove his hands and enjoy the ride a bit more. I'm not sure if this kid is ever going to out grow his sensitivity to noise. We'll see how he does at the Blue Angels air show next month! Note to self... invest in lots of ear plugs. :-)

Yes the train we were on went on this high bridge. It was over 100 feet tall. Andrew loved it (go figure!)

New toy for me!

Before After

Do you notice how much brighter and colorful the after picture is? Okay I know I'm a bit obsessed with pictures but I am so excited about my new toy. It's called color actions and they can be used with Photoshop Elements. I got them here. They are so easy to use and really help bring photos to life. I'm still playing with them but here are some examples of some I've done this morning.

"Don't blink...

you just might miss your babies growing like mine did." Okay so he isn't my baby he is my sissy's. :-) I also love that song because it's so true! It really does seem like with a blink of eye Kyle has grown into a young man. I know it sounds like a cliche but WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE? Yes, I am late in posting these photos of Kyle as he has already moved to Phoenix and is starting the next chapter in his life but I think I can finally do it without crying so much I can't see the computer screen! So, here are some pictures I took of Kyle the day of his graduation at my sister's house and at graduation.

Isn't he so handsome?? It seems just like yesterday I was a teenager living with my parents and he'd come waddling inside the house and just take it over with his big fun loving personality. Okay I'm going to stop now before I can't see the screen! ;-)

Put up your dukes! (Kyle always did this when he was a toddler.)

Now on to graduation photos....

My sister was prepared.... :-)

CONGRATULATIONS KYLE!! WE ARE SO VERY PROUD OF YOU HONEY!

Buggy boy

Andrew is fascinated with bugs, spiders and pretty much anything that crawls on the ground. He used to just look at them but now he loves to pick things up and touch them. Yuck! This comes from a girl who was definitely a tomboy but when it comes to bugs I'm all girl. Grasshoppers are his latest love. For some reason we've had quite a few in our backyard. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera on sport mode to catch his reaction when the grasshopper jumped after he was touched. Needless to say we couldn't get Andrew to touch another grasshopper!

Oh and did you notice the goggles? :-)
