Thankful

In honor of Thanksgiving, I thought I’d try and find things each day that I’m thankful for. Now these things may seem small or insignificant but they are still things I’m thankful for. Here is what I was thankful for yesterday:

1: Coffee. I am not myself until I’ve had my cup of joe in the morning. So, the rest of my family should be thankful for this one too!

2:It’s almost time to pull out the Christmas tree.

3: I painted Christmas ornaments with Andrew yesterday. It’s fun acting like a four-year-old.

4: I can dance like a complete idiot to 80’s music with my son and he thinks I’m cool. Plus, he loves the music. Not sure how long this will last!

5: Crafting with Andrew. I know scrapping is typically for girls but I love that we can “craft” together. He loves rummaging through my punches.

6: For the little things kids say to may you feel better. This was priceless yesterday. Andrew and I went in a pet store and there was a kitty there that looked just like Kozmo. Andrew and I even held her. Like an idiot, I cried for the next hour or two. When we got home, I was still crying. Andrew asked me what was wrong. I told him how I had a kitty named Kozmo and the kitty at the store reminded me of her and it made me sad. To which he says, “That’s okay Mommy. I can just ask Santa if he has a Kozmo and he can give you her and then you can cuddle her and love her. Is that the deal Mommy?” (Is that the deal is his favorite saying right now.) How sweet is my little boy? J

7: I’m thankful I have neighbors who are crazier about Christmas than me. When I put Andrew down to bed last night the house across the street had their Christmas lights up and on already! Don’t get me wrong. I love it! I’m just thankful for those people because then I don’t look so bad and maybe I can get Blake to put the lights up this week.

8: I’m thankful for those moments when out of the blue Andrew comes up to me and says, “Mommy, I love you.” It gets me every time.

9: Lastly, I’m thankful for silly movies that make you laugh. I watched What Happens in Vegas last night and while it was by far not a great movie. It did make me laugh.

So, what are you thankful for?

Here are some pictures from yesterday.
