Happy 4th Birthday Andrew!!!

I really can't believe our baby is 4 years old today. I remember the day he was born just like it was yesterday. I felt so overjoyed to have this precious baby in my life and I still have that same feeling today. I feel so blessed this child chose me for his mommy. Everyday he does something to make me smile and laugh and he continues to fill my heart with joy. Andrew James, I love you more everyday.

Birthday Party pictures

Andrew's birthday party was this past Saturday and he had a great time with his little friends. Here are some pictures from the party. Can you guess who the hippies are? I'll give you one hint....they are from California.

My friend Patty from my scrapbook group sent Andrew a handmade birthday card. It was so thoughtful of her to think of Andrew. He loved getting a "present" in the mail and absolutely loved the little lollipops. His favorite! Thanks so much Patty you are such a sweetheart. :-)

Birthday party preparations

Tomorrow is Andrew's 4th Birthday party!! We've been busy all day baking, organizing, decorating, and CLEANING!! I always buy Andrew's birthday cakes but this year I thought I'd try my hand at it. Surprisingly I'm pretty happy with it. It's not a pretty as a professional one but hey it's homemade. :-)

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Wow!! Congratulations Blake!!! You did it!! For those who have no idea what I’m talking about – Southwest called Blake today and offered him the job!!!

Honey, I am so unbelievably proud of you and can’t begin to tell you how happy I am for you. You deserve it. You have worked so hard to get to this point and it’s awesome to see your dream come true. It's been great to be there every step of the way from you getting your private pilot license, to being an instructor, to your first airline job, making captain, becoming check airman and now a job at a major airline. WOW!!! You amaze me. You have so much drive and ambition and I want you to know how much I admire that in you. I love you tons honey!!

First snow?

This isn't exactly what I had in mind for our first snowfall. I woke up early this morning and ran over to the window hoping to see white everywhere and NOTHING... Just a light dusting of snow on our patio table and chairs. Come on mother nature you can do better than this!! Okay, I know I'm going to regret saying because sure enough we'll get four feet of snow next time.

Playing in the leaves

Andrew and I spent some time earlier this afternoon playing in the leaves in the front yard. Our maple tree is starting to lose it's leaves and the grass was just covered with them. I say "was" because I went outside about 10 minutes after our little photo shoot and they were all gone because of some strong winds. A big storm is moving in today and tonight and is supposed to bring us our first snow. We'll see if we wake up to all white tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed!! I'm ready for some snow.
