Daily December album is finished!

I finished my Daily December book! Yessssssssssssssssssssss. You can view it by clicking on the photo below or clicking here. It will take you to shutterfly and you can preview the entire book by clicking the yellow "view photobook" button on the bottom. Then you can click on "full screen" in the upper right to see it larger.

I decided to do all of December since the holiday doesn't really stop on Christmas. I have to say going digital this year was awesome and I will definitely being doing that again this year.

Daily December 2009: Day 10

Andrew saw Santa!

The funny thing about this whole thing is that when I asked Andrew if he wanted to go see Santa. He said, "I already wrote him a letter! He knows what I want." Then he told Blake "Daddy you already told him what I wanted too!" He said this because Blake came home from work and told Andrew he had seen Santa's sleigh when he was flying so he better tell him what he wants so Blake can relay it to Santa. After we convinced him Blake hadn't told Santa yet and that a follow up visit to a letter wasn't going to hurt and would actually help make sure Santa really knows what to get you. He went.

LOL

Now, don't get me wrong. He was really excited to see Santa and a bit overwhelmed after we got there because we were the only ones there and he got a lot of attention. He talked to Santa for quite some time and also Mrs. Claus.

He still wants two nerf swords and two nerf guns. :-)

Daily December 2009: Day Nine

It's time for crafty holiday gifts! These little treat boxes were so simple to do and I think they came out pretty darn cute if I do say so myself.

I got the boxes in an 8 pack from Hobby Lobby for $1.50. I filled them with a bit of red shredded paper and christmas candy. For the front of the box I glued a little "Happy Holidays" circle that complemented the polka dots on the box.

I got the design for the circle from Art Warehouse at Designer Digitals. I printed them out on white 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock and used my Nestabilities Spellbinder die cuts to cut out the circle and to cut out the scalloped circle with black cardstock. Then I printed out the name tags on white cardstock and used my Spellbinder tag die to make the name tags. These are my absolute favorite dies from spellbinders - I use them all the time!

Next I tied some red netting to the handle and made a small bow with white and green grosgrain ribbon from Joanns and stuck a black button in the center with a glue dot. Voila!! Super duper easy.

Andrew came home with a handmade invitation to his Christmas program. How cute!! I love that they had them create an invite for the parents instead of just sending home a flyer.

Daily December 2009: Day One

It's the first day of December and our countdown to Christmas is beginning. What better way to countdown than with a homemade advent calendar (see photo below for full picture.) This was unbelievable easy to do and besides having issues with the magnets I'm loving it. Next year I will redesign it and make sure to leave enough room for the circles to overlap a bit more and get different magnets that adhere better. Just an fyi in case there is anyone out there thinking they want to create it this year. Which by the way it isn't too late! This only took me about an hour to create. Easy peazie!
